‘LIGHT UP THE HALLS’
YOUTH SUPPORT PROGRAM.

We would like to introduce (or re-introduce) Australian Rock Company Ltd (ARC) to your Council, hoping 'Potential Co-promotions with ARC' can be included as an item on agendas, at forthcoming council meetings embracing community events and services.

ARC is the oldest not-for-profit public company in the Australian Music Industry and a registered Cultural Organisation.

The Company is planning to re-ignite it's live 'general access' music program, in association with Local Government, Youth and Student Councils, around the country. It has applied for State and Federal Funding and is actively seeking other funding sources from State, Territory and Federal Government authorities and the private sector to underwrite the program.

We may have worked with your Council, in the past. If so, you'll be aware of how successful the shows have been. If not - this is a very good place to start. We have set up a website - www.arc.au.com, which links many of the bands who would like to play general access shows, on a drop down list (and alphabetical directory). Posters from some of ARC's shows and a few letters of support are on site in the Serious Fun section. Information on how the Company can help to promote shows in your area, is outlined in the Company Overview section.

ARC is pleased to offer space on its website for Council poster art from previous youth performances and festivals and for any future shows. We would also be happy link websites, or web pages, set-up for young people, in your area, to the Industry Links section on www.arc.au.com. A new 'Co-Promoters' links section, will be included in the next few weeks.

No show is too big or too small. Whatever Council may have in mind, to support its young people, ARC is always pleased to promote youth events on site and to assist in securing artists, artwork, production - whatever is needed. We can work in school halls, community halls, clubs, football fields - if it seems like a good idea, to you, we're into it! In particular, the Company is looking for letters of participation from 3 Councils, nationally, nominating a venue where we could work with Youth Groups and Councils to run a series of 3 shows in each, with the aim of continuing on a monthly basis thereafter. This project - 'Light Up The Halls' - is eligible for State and Federal Grants.

If Council could send an email of participation, to say "Yes we would like to work with ARC to light up the halls, in our area!" - that would be great. We are currently constructing a new web page, so that all expressions of interest in the program can be posted, together, to ensure the funding lobby has its best chance of success.
