Hi, Jane
Your issue is ARC's great concern. That's why the Company has been set
up. It's a bit like the Star Trek of Rock 'n Roll - "To boldly go
where no man goes", that sort of thing. ARC is here to assist local
communities to run their own shows and (hopefully!) Not Lose Money. (Company
Aims are posted on site, at www.arc.au.com).
Have a read through the information on the Light Up page, questions and
answers etc. That should clarify how ARC plans to operate, wherever the
Company is invited. You need to nominate a venue. Then we work through
budgets, artist availabilities, production requirements and promotional
campaigns with your local committee (hopefully a few kids from each of
the local high schools and TAFEs etc) until we come up with a show that
everyone thinks is a winner. Then we put it on.
We hope the local committees will provide the venue and be able to come
up with 50 percent of the underwriting costs. We aim to Not lose money.
In fact, shows should show a small return, with a bit of luck. So money
may not be a problem, after all.
Let me know your thoughts. Ask the kids to check out the bands linked
to our site and see if there's anyone there they'd like to see play. And
if you have any web sites we can link, with more information on your area,
we'd be happy to do so. That way you learn all about the bands who want
to tour and they learn more about you.
Tks fr yr interest. Hope to hear back.
all the best
